Your role as the AVA Business Development Consultant will be that of a hybrid sales function encompassing new business sales as well as that of account management duties. You will be expected to promote AVA by driving New Sales for the business, as well as upselling solutions to our existing clients. 

Your Role

Your duties and responsibilities will be, but not limited to Initiating and maintaining Proof of Concept (POC), this will include: 

  • All hardware arrangements
  • Contractors’ packs as and when required  
  • Site setup of AVA  
  • Setting up Reports and KPI’s with Client and Sales Representative 
  • Reporting issues through AVA CRM
  • Drive new sales as well as up selling existing clients, through our CRM
  • Initiating contact
  • Setting up Demo’s 
  • Drafting Proposals 
  • Driving the Purchase orders 
  • Follow-up on Invoicing 
  • Maintaining relationship of Clients after sales are made 

What we are looking for

  • The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of what is required to convert POC to a sale (POC’s are critical to AVA’s growth and will require detailed attention)
  • Proven sales track record
  • 2-3+ years of mining sales experience
  • Software Sales experience is critical
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Technically adept
  • Driver’s license
  • Own reliable transport
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be medically fit to enter a mine site
